Welcome to a fabulous day of 12 Days of Giving!

We’re incredibly excited to offer a pair of these amazing handcrafted wooden sunglasses from our Etsy partner Bodi Glasses as tomorrow’s giveaway! These glasses are a fashion statement in and of themselves.We love that they are unisex, and are made in a design that looks fantastic on almost every face shape. We think these glasses would make a phenomenal gift for anyone on your list!
When we saw Bodi’s Etsy store, we were in awe of the artistry of these glasses and thought you would be too.

We caught up with Bodi, the owner/founder of Bodi Glasses to find out more about his shop and what inspires him! We’re amazed at the technique and attention that goes into each pair of glasses.

We asked. He answered.
What motivated you to make sunglasses?
The fashion industry is flooded with glasses that look and feel the same – I had an idea to create something fresh, in a material that makes each pair unique to the wearer. I’ve always had a passion for woodworking and design. Bodi Glasses are a natural extension of my own interests and aesthetics packaged in a product that’s relatable and accessible. Designing and building each pair is very satisfying, but more importantly, they’re really fun to wear!

What inspires your fashion sense?
I do a lot of shopping at vintage stores. I like clothing and objects that are unique and fun. Good craftsmanship is key: I want to wear and own things I can take pride in and rely on. For accessories, including my glasses, I’ve been inspired by soft, organic tones, and the clean lines of the mid-century modern style.

A note from Bodi:
The Bodi product line is expanding both the styles of frames and the materials used. Three new styles will be introduced this spring!

Every pair of glasses is made, finished, and assembled in my studio in Ithaca, NY. Bodi Glasses is committed to sustainable production through the use of local craftsmen and recyclable / reclaimed materials. We’re trying to do it the right way from the start.
