Welcome to Monday, Darlings!

Today begins the start to a beautiful week.
Can we just pause for a moment and acknowledge that it’s already February 18th? Where is this year going? We hope it’s been everything you wanted it to be.
If you’re not completely loving 2013, it’s not too early to change that. There are still over 9 1/2 months that are unwritten in this year. Join us in making this year one to remember, and that decision starts with each morning.

Gluten Free Vanilla Chai Shake
YUM YUM and YUM!
When we stumbled across this recipe from the absolutely adorable food blog chocolate covered katie, we were instantly sold! We’re pretty crazy about our chai teas, and this shake sounds so good it’s hard to believe it’s gluten free.
We think we might have to spoil ourselves and make this for breakfast one day.
Now that would be a sweet Monday!

What you’ll need:
1 very-ripe frozen banana (substitution: banana-free shake)
1 cup milk of choice (or less, for a thicker shake)
1/2 tsp powdered ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
tiny dash each: pepper, cardamom, ground cloves, and nutmeg You can omit any/all if desired. Or omit all the spices and simply brew your milk with a chai tea bag. Then chill before blending.
1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
optional: sweetener if desired

How to make it:
Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. That’s it!

screen-shot-2012-12-23-at-10-26-56-pmToday, our challenge to you is to trust your ideas and to go after your dreams.
Truth be told, the entire idea of Coast to Coast was started as a small tradition which turned into a “crazy idea” to make it something more. We believe that in every person is a beautiful idea. We believe that you should do something that not only earns a living, but makes every day an exciting one because you love what you’re doing.
How do you go after these ideas?
Start simply and write them down.
Write out a “what if” plan of how you could possibly get there if you were to accomplish those dreams. Then, start taking small steps every day or week to make your idea a reality.

We know, this is much easier said than done. We’re in all in this together. We’re here to support each other in going for our dreams, What’s worse than not succeeding? Not even trying.

So join us in going after those crazy ideas.
